HOW IT ALL BEGAN

I would like to introduce you to Paul’s Journey. We are a full time Gospel Music Ministry. We travel about 200 days a year nationwide. We want to present a program that is not only entertaining but uplifting to the soul as well. Wherever the Lord sends us, we go with these thoughts in mind: to lift up the name of Jesus, to see lost souls saved, and to see other Christians touched by God. The ministry of Paul’s Journey started over 38 years ago with four young men all related to each other. Of course, many faces have come and gone since that time, but the calling and commitment of the group has never changed. It’s been an honor all these years to have served our Lord and to help spread the word of Jesus Christ through song and testimony.

The group was voted SGM FanFair Favorite Male Quartet in 2007. They were awarded South Texas Association Group of the Year for 2001, 2004, 2007, and then again in 2014. The group was also nominated for Diamond Award as Group of the Year in 2004. They were also nominated for Horizon Group of the Year in 2012 and most recently were chosen by the Singing News southern gospel fans as one of the Top 5 Traditional Qts. in 2013, 2014 and 2015. The group has sung on the NQC Main Stage for the last five years. Our music can be heard on the radio and the internet all over the world. Paul’s Journey has been featured on Paul Heil’s Gospel Greats several times and Solid Gospel Radio. Thank you all for your support!

Rod Treme - Bass

Rod Treme is the bass singer and manager of the group. He is also a licensed, ordained minister. Rod is an original member of the group and has written many of the songs performed and recorded by the group down through the years. He was voted S.T.G.M.A Male Vocalist of the year for 2004 and 2014. He was also voted at S. G. M. Fan Fair as one of the top five bass singers in the country. Also, Rod will soon be inducted into the Texas SGM Hall of Fame! Rod and his wife Dianne live in Magnolia, TX. They have three daughters, five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Brad Davis - Baritone

Brad Davis is the baritone singer of the group. Brad was born and lived many years in south Louisiana. As a “PK” (preacher’s kid), he was involved in church music from an early age, singing with his family.  In college, he traveled and sang with a group as a representative of the school. He sang baritone for Christway Quartet in Sulphur, LA and also sand baritone for Majesty III, from Hamburg, AR. He enjoys playing the drums and bass guitar, and is also an ordained minister; he considers it an honor to be a part of such an established group as Paul’s Journey, to be able to travel and sing and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Brad, his wife Gillian and their three children currently live in Crossett, AR.

Matthew Esquivel - Tenor

Matthew Esquivel is the tenor singer of the group. He was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. He is currently 21 years old and has been singing since the early age of 5.  He started traveling on the road with his father’s singing group, and developed a love for making music and singing harmonies. He learned to play guitar, bass, piano and drums while traveling with his family. After graduating High School, Matthew joined a local trio out of Fort Worth, Texas called KingsRiver. A year later Matthew was given the opportunity to sing tenor full time with a quartet in Wichita, Kansas called The Armouraires Quartet. Matthew says; “I am very excited for the opportunity to sing in a well established group like Paul’s Journey! I’m looking forward to what God has in store for me and the ministry of Paul’s Journey”.

Jamie Streetman - Lead

Jamie Streetman is singing lead for the group. Jamie comes to us from the town of Lufkin TX, where it was not until his Junior year in high school that Jamie felt led to pursue and minister full time in Gospel Music. Since that time, Jamie has been involved with several groups such as “Narrow Road Quartet”, “The Crossmen” and “Maranatha”. In his spare time Jamie enjoys playing Disc Golf and Ultimate Frisbee as much as possible, all while being an avid photographer. Jamie says, “It’s such an honor to sing with and to be a part of the ministry of Paul’s Journey. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for all of us!”
