HOW IT ALL BEGAN
I would like to introduce you to Paul’s Journey. We are a full time Gospel Music Ministry. We travel about 200 days a year nationwide. We want to present a program that is not only entertaining but uplifting to the soul as well. Wherever the Lord sends us, we go with these thoughts in mind: to lift up the name of Jesus, to see lost souls saved, and to see other Christians touched by God. The ministry of Paul’s Journey started over 42 years ago with four young men all related to each other. Of course, many faces have come and gone since that time, but the calling and commitment of the group has never changed. It’s been an honor all these years to have served our Lord and to help spread the word of Jesus Christ through song and testimony.
The group was voted SGM FanFair Favorite Male Quartet in 2007. They were awarded South Texas Association Group of the Year for 2001, 2004, 2007, and then again in 2014. The group was also nominated for Diamond Award as Group of the Year in 2004. They were also nominated for Horizon Group of the Year in 2012 and most recently were chosen by the Singing News southern gospel fans as one of the Top 5 Traditional Qts. in 2013, 2014 and 2015. The group has sung on the NQC Main Stage for the several years. Our music can be heard on the radio and the internet all over the world. Paul’s Journey has been featured on Paul Heil’s Gospel Greats several times and Solid Gospel Radio. Thank you all for your support!
Rod Treme - Bass
Rod Treme is the bass singer and manager of the group. He is also a licensed, ordained minister. Brad Davis - Baritone
Brad Davis is the baritone singer of the group. Brad was born and lived many years in south Louisiana. As a “PK” (preacher’s kid), he was involved in church music from an early age, singing with his family. He also filled the baritone position for Christway Quartet in Sulphur, Louisiana, and sang the lead part for Majesty III, from Hamburg, Arkansas. He enjoys playing the drums and bass guitar, and is also an ordained minister; he considers it an honor to be able to travel and sing and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Brad, his wife Gillian, and their four children currently live near Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Ron Higgins - Tenor
Ron Higgins is the tenor singer of the group. Ron has been singing gospel music for 29 years now; he’s sung professionally with the original Pacesetters Quartet out of Burleson, TX, and Praise Incorporated Quartet, and for the last several years he again sang with the Pacesetters Quartet, reviving and owning the group after its retirement of their 22-year ministry.
Ron has had the opportunity and honor of singing onstage with many of gospel music’s greatest singers including the Statesmen Quartet, J.D. Sumner and the Stamps Quartet, the Gaither Vocal Band, the Talley Trio, and Gordon Mote just to name a few.
Ron was voted favorite male vocalist in the state of Texas at the Texas Gospel Music News Fan Awards and he plays several instruments including the piano, sax, and mandolin. He is also a licensed and ordained minister with the Church of God, Cleveland, TN.
